Two New Publications in BMC Genomics!

19 Oct 2026

It’s great to see these collaborative efforts with the Meissner Lab in Munich and Butantan Institute in São Paulo, Brazil come together and share the results with the community!

Take a look at the publications below.

One explores the genome of the rumen fluke Calicophoron daubneyi at different stages of its development, providing a starting point for better understanding the parasite’s life cycle. The other maps centromeres in Trypanosoma cruzi to figure out how its genome is organised.

Knöpfle LR, Cosentino RO, Schmidt, MR, Elbert VK, Haug S, Weber F, Perera AV, Siegel TN, Meissner M (2026)
Transcriptomic analysis of eggs, rediae and cercariae reveal stage-specific adaptations in the rumen fluke Calicophoron daubneyi.
