Subfertility in Mares - Study Participants Wanted!

In a collaborative study with the University of Zurich (PD Dr. Bauersachs, Ms. Dyroff), so-called Cytobrush samples (brush samples from the uterus) are being collected from mares of various ages and medical histories to identify the core microbiome and potentially detect uterine dysbiosis early on, which could contribute to subfertility in mares.
Participation in this study is voluntary and free of charge.

Please contact Dr. Tanja Witte if you are interested in participating in the study.

We are seeking study participants for a study on CEM (Contagious Equine Metritis)

Based on recently published findings, we would like to conduct further research on CEM. To this end, we are looking for Icelandic or draft horse breeders who primarily use natural breeding and, ideally, currently have or have previously had CEM-positive animals in their herds.

Please contact Dr. Tanja Witte if you are interested in participating in the study.
