Infectious Disease Epidemiology and One Health

We investigate the dynamics of vector-borne infections and their spread in populations. By integrating epidemiology, immunology, and data-driven methods, we generate insights to support evidence-based strategies for prevention and control at the interface of human and veterinary medicine.

Our research focuses on improving the understanding of infectious processes and their spread within populations. A particular emphasis is placed on vector-borne pathogens that affect the health of both humans and animals. By integrating epidemiology, immunology, and experimental approaches, we investigate how pathogens circulate between hosts, vectors, and the environment, and how they interact within the One Health framework.

In addition, we apply modern data-driven approaches to identify complex epidemiological patterns and to support the analysis and integration of large and heterogeneous datasets.

Through our interdisciplinary approach, we aim to generate knowledge that supports evidence-based strategies for risk assessment, prevention, and control of vector-borne infections, particularly at the interface of human and veterinary medicine.
