Sonography (ultrasound) provides an insight into all internal organs. Growths, anomalies, blood vessels and structural as well as density changes in the organs can be seen and measured. The search for tumors and metastases in the abdominal cavity is primarily based on sonography. Sonography is an examination technique that requires a great deal of experience and can be performed directly without anesthetizing the animal.
