Chemotherapy

In veterinary medicine, chemotherapy is primarily used to prolong life expectancy. The primary goal is to maintain your pet's quality of life. Unlike in human medicine, the focus is not on aggressive tumor treatment, but rather on gentler treatment that takes the animal into consideration. The drugs used are administered in significantly lower doses, which means that only mild or no side effects occur in most cases. Possible side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or loss of appetite are usually temporary and can be treated symptomatically if necessary. Many animals show good general well-being during therapy and retain their usual zest for life.
