Professor Angelika Schoster studied veterinary medicine at the University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna. She also completed her doctoral degree there in equine surgery.
She specialized in equine internal medicine through a four-year training program (internship and residency) at the University of Guelph in Canada, during which she earned Diplomate status from the European and American Colleges.
She earned a PhD at the University of Copenhagen and subsequently worked for 10 years as a senior physician at the Clinic for Equine Medicine at the University of Zurich, where she also completed her habilitation.
She has been at LMU since 2023, holds the Chair of Equine Medicine at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and heads the Clinic for Equine Medicine.
